Daniel Oreskes Joins Jesse Eisenberg and Vanessa Redgrave in The Revisionist

Daniel Oreskes will join previously announced stars Jesse Eisenberg and Vanessa Redgrave in Eisenberg's new off-Broadway play The Revisionist. Directed by Kip Fagan, the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater production has shifted its start date to February 15 due to scheduling conflicts. The drama will  open at the Cherry Lane Theatre on February 28, playing a limited engagement through March 31.

In The Revisionist, David (Eisenberg) travels to Poland as he struggles with writer's block. His 75-year-old cousin Maria (Redgrave) invites him to stay at her home in hopes of further connecting with her distant American family. As their relationship buds, Maria reveals details about her difficult post-war life that test their ideas of what it means to be family.

Oreskes recently performed the role of Bretzky in off-Broadway's The Twenty-Seventh Man, as well as the role of Misha in Russian Transport. His Broadway credits include Billy Elliot, The Miracle Worker, Cymbeline, Electra, Aida and The Song of Jacob Zulu. His film and TV credits include The Thomas Crown Affair, The Devil’s Advocate, The Sopranos, The Good Wife, Rescue Me, Third Watch, Pan Am and Law & Order.

The Revisionist will feature scenic design by John McDermott, costume design by Jessica Pabst, lighting design by Matt Frey, sound design by Bart Fasbender and property design is by Andrew Diaz.
